About the University Library

Welcome to the University Library!

The U of S Library is one of Canada’s leading research libraries. In addition to its electronic services and seven campus locations, the Library’s 150 full-time (equivalent) faculty and staff serve over 27,000 U of S faculty, staff, and students, as well as U of S alumni who can now access services free of charge.

The Library provides year-round and around-the-clock access to an extensive electronic collection. Our collections and services provide support to learners, teachers, researchers, and alumni. We have increased levels of electronic resources content resulting from federal, provincial, and institutional investments in the colleges and universities of Canada. When it comes to library resources, if we do not own it or have access to it, we will get it for you.

Liaison librarians work in the branch libraries to facilitate access to library services and resources. All but the Murray Branch Library are embedded in the College buildings, close to faculty, staff, and students.
